JOHN HOPKINS MEDICINE NO LONGER IN-NETWORK WITH UNITEDHEALTHCARE

Effective Monday, August 25, Johns Hopkins Medicine—including all affiliated providers and facilities—is no longer considered in-network with UnitedHealthcare. This includes Suburban Hospital and Sibley Hospital, which are Johns Hopkins facilities and closest to the Club.

What You Need to Know
Emergencies

If you are taken by ambulance to Suburban, Sibley, or any Johns Hopkins hospital in an emergency, services will be covered at the in-network benefit level, regardless of network status.

Non-Emergencies

Choosing a Johns Hopkins provider or facility for non-emergency care will result in out-of-network billing.

​

Hospital Admissions

If you are admitted to an out-of-network hospital following an emergency, UnitedHealthcare may coordinate a transfer to an in-network facility for ongoing care.

Continuity of Care

If you are currently receiving treatment from a Johns Hopkins provider for an ongoing condition, you may qualify for continuity-of-care coverage through UnitedHealthcare.
