GENERAL MANAGER ANNOUNCEMENT

To the Chevy Chase Club Team:

I’m pleased to share some exciting news on behalf of the Board of Governors and the Search Committee: Elisha Cicerone, CCM, has accepted the position of General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of Chevy Chase Club.

Many of you will remember Elisha from her time here as Assistant General Manager and Director of Food & Beverage. We are thrilled to welcome her back in this new leadership role. Elisha brings not only a strong understanding of the Club’s culture and operations but also deep industry expertise that will help guide us forward.

Elisha was selected after an extensive national search that involved reviewing a wide range of highly qualified candidates from top clubs across the country. The Search Committee and Board unanimously agreed that Elisha’s experience, leadership style, and familiarity with Chevy make her the ideal person to lead our team and Club into its next chapter.

She brings with her a forward-thinking approach to club management, with particular strengths in food & beverage operations, financial oversight, and navigating the evolving landscape of private clubs. Most importantly, she values the traditions and culture that make Chevy such a special place for both our members and its employees.

We know change can bring questions, but we’re confident that Elisha’s return will be a positive and energizing step for all of us. In the coming weeks, we’ll share more information about opportunities to reconnect with her and hear about her vision for the Club.

Thank you all for your continued commitment to excellence, and for everything you do to make this Club exceptional.

With kind regards,

Chris Connolly

President

A LETTER FROM OUR NEW GENERAL MANAGER

Dear Chevy Chase Club Team Members,

I am truly honored to rejoin the Queen of Clubs—now in the role of General Manager/Chief Operating Officer. Returning to a place that has played such a meaningful role in my personal and professional journey is both humbling and incredibly exciting.

Years ago, I first walked through the Club’s doors as a student, eager and grateful for the chance to interview for an assistant manager’s role. To now be entrusted with helping guide this historic and iconic institution forward is a full-circle moment I deeply value. During my previous five years with the club as Assistant General Manager and Director of Food & Beverage, I had the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships across all areas of the operation and gain a profound appreciation and respect for the Club’s culture, traditions, its members, and the team who brings it to life every day. That time allowed me to witness firsthand the passion and dedication that make the Club so special.

For those with whom I have had the privilege to partner in the past, I look forward to reconnecting and learning all that has taken place during my four years away. For those I have not yet met, I am eager to engage with you, hear your stories, and witness firsthand the pride, dedication, and spirit you bring to our beloved club.

I am thrilled to return to the DC area with my family. We are excited to call this incredible city home once again, and I look forward to investing fully in both the community and culture that make Chevy Chase Club so extraordinary. The opportunity to help elevate an already tremendous Club—alongside such an enthusiastic and talented team—is not one I take lightly, and I cannot wait to be with you in the fall and continue to build a legacy that both current and future generations of members (both club members and team members) will be proud of.

With sincere gratitude,

Elisha S. Cicerone, CCM

A LETTER FROM OUR INTERIM GENERAL MANAGER

A Note of Gratitude and Celebration

Dear Team,

Wow, what a summer it has been!  From the incredible July 3rd celebration to the much-anticipated reopening of the golf course after a year of closure, this season has been nothing short of remarkable.  And let’s not forget the sheer volume of chicken fingers served at camp…it’s been a whirlwind in the best way.

As we enter August and shift from high event mode into our more day-to-day rhythm, I hope each of you takes a moment to reflect with pride on all we’ve accomplished.  Your dedication, energy, and teamwork have created unforgettable experiences for our members—and it shows.

I also hope you’re able to carve out a little time to recharge and enjoy your own families. Speaking of which, I look forward to seeing you and your loved ones at the Employee Picnic on Monday, August 4.  Our interns and team members have been working hard to make this a fun and meaningful event.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate the season, and thank you and your families for the support they give you, and us, every day.

As we move through the dog days of summer, I hope you find a few moments to enjoy this time of year. Fingers crossed the weather cools down soon!

I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your hard work and commitment. You are the heart of this Club.  The exceptional experiences and lifelong memories we provide wouldn’t be possible without your passion and service.

For me, PRIDE is at the center of everything we do. I’m grateful to lead a team that so genuinely embodies who we are and what we do.

With appreciation,

Meridith Picarelli-Khattar, CCE
Interim General Manager
